HETAS Qualified

The Fire Works is HETAS Qualified.

HETAS is an official body recognised by the government, with the role of approving solid fuel and biomass heating systems, fuel and services. This includes the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses.

An HETAS qualified installer can self certify that their work complies with building regulations, and issue their customer with a certificate of compliance. The local authority will then be notified of the works by HETAS.

If you choose not to use a HETAS certified installer you must contact your local authorities Building Control department for a notice and pay a fee (varies on job required).

At The Fire Works, all our installers are HETAS certified, giving you peace of mind that your heating system is installed safely, as well as removing the obligation of contacting the local building control department, we work throughout North Devon &  Cornwall and can meet your heating and building work needs.

We cover the whole of Devon and Cornwall and provide our wood burner installation and maintenance services in Barnstaple, Bideford, Ilfracombe, Braunton, South Molton, Tiverton, Bude, Holsworthy, Torrington and Exmoor.
